The show's director was her father was also in the show as the character. This show became a hit and tours sold out as well as hit record and merchandise deals were also in the pipeline. Cyrus rapidly became a cult figure among teenagers. Cyrus began to take on different roles after her popularity with Hannah Montana (2006). These included playing Ronnie Miller (in The Last Song, 2010) as well as Lola (in LOL (2012)), alongside Demi Moor.
